Path of Exile Item Upgrading
Players can upgrade their weapons and equipment using new accessories. They can also boost the base stats of the item or provide additional benefits. To upgrade an item, the player has to have it in their inventory as well as access to the kiln.
Items with weak bases, like rings can be upgraded to more robust bases. Items with strong bases, such as eth Titans have little change in their stats.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be added to armors, weapons trinkets, weapons and gathering tools. They provide an attribute bonus or additional effect, when the equipment is being used. They can be purchased from vendors, found as loot by enemies, or received from chests and missions. Certain upgrades come with additional cosmetic effects. Most upgrades require that the equipment be at a specific level to upgrade.
To upgrade an item of armor, the player has to select it, and then click on the Upgrade button in the toolbar. This will display a preview on the right side of the screen, showing what the expected upgrade stats will be and also the material or component needed for the upgrade to take place.

There are three types: universal upgrades (which include gems) prefix upgrades and suffix upgrade components. Universal upgrades, such as gems, are able to be put on any type of equipment. They offer a lesser bonus than upgrade components that have a type restriction. Infusions are only placed in ascended gear and legendary equipment, are the same as jewels but have higher bonuses and cannot be used in any other type of equipment. Suffix upgrades that can be put in gathering tools, include their name at the end of the name of the item they are attached to, for instance adding an Glyph to an item that is a Staff Wrapping of Minor Vigor would make it a Canthan Staff Wrapping of Minor Vigor.
If an individual upgrades a gathering tool, and then replaces the glyphs with a different one, the old one will be returned to their inventory. However, replacing any other upgrade component will destroy it, excluding the inscriptions that can be swapped.
Leveling
Path of Exile's upgrade process is different from the previous versions in a few important ways. Gear is now broken down into tracks and items can be upgraded a certain number of times before they're "leveled out." The cost of upgrading increases with each level, however the materials required for upgrades do not. This allows players to concentrate their efforts on a few items and maximize the effect of these items rather than spreading upgrade costs over multiple pieces.
This will enable the item to receive upgraded components and a higher chance of success. This bonus is known as the Artisan's Energy, and it will reset to zero in the event of failure, or increases when the upgrade succeeds.
When a piece of equipment is upgraded to its maximum level, it will be able to receive affixes that will enhance its capabilities. The number of affixes available will depend on the item's class. For example an uncommon or rare weapon that has a standard base will have only two affixes to choose from and legendary armors can have up to eight affixes available for it.
Each upgrade requires an amount of Flightstones and crests, depending on the item's current level and the item slot it's in. In general, weapons will require more Flightstones to upgrade than other types of equipment.
If an item is not able to get to its maximum level, the NPC will give players the option to transfer it to another character and then re-infuse it with another set of upgrades. This process can take between one and two hours, and costs the same amount of material. However, item upgrades has a lower rate of success.
Engineers will utilize a level to measure the height of the building with an established location, such as an existing benchmark. This is referred to as a "level-loop." It involves taking readings using the backsight rod and level and then turning the level and taking the foresight rod reading. This method helps ensure that buildings are constructed to a high level of accuracy and safety.
Rerolling
Rerolling is the process of changing the upgrade components of an item. It is a very important aspect of the game that can increase the strength, damage or other attributes. You can do this via the item menu, or by pressing the Reroll button when you upgrade an item. Rerolling items can be costly and should be handled with care.
Reroll tokens are obtained by recycling upgraded items. These tokens can be used to upgrade either the original item or a comparable item. Recyclable items have an indicator of the level which shows how much of the upgrade gauge is filled. The rarity and cost of upgrading an item determines the amount of level that has been filled.
In the past, certain upgrade items were affixed with priority that made them easier to roll for than other. This meant that you could receive the stats that mattered most to your build often than others. These included things like the armor's total armor, thorns, and duration reduction statistics that were controlled or the weapon's bonus attack speed and critical strike chance.
This was changed in the latest patch. Priority affixes have been removed and all upgrades will have the same odds of rolling for each stat. This can be either good or bad, depending on what you're looking to get from your equipment.
Each upgraded item can be equipped with a special fixed-value, fixed-value benefit that increases its strength by a certain percentage. These bonuses are added to regular affixes. The more you upgrade your product, the better your chance of obtaining the bonus of a different kind.
The game also has a number sets that give the player a bonus if three or four upgraded items from the set are equipped on an item. This is an excellent way to add a lot of power to a particular character without spending an excessive amount of money.
Many players have the habit of rerolling their weapons and gear particularly in the beginning stages. Rerolling is a way to get a more powerful character faster, which allows you to advance in the game and attain higher levels.
Sets
Sets are groups of elements that can be put together in various ways. They can be different dimensions, have no elements, or have a single element. They can be used to organize data or separating information. They can also be useful in analysing patterns. Sets can be categorized in a variety of ways, including by size and shape.
There are a variety of set items to upgrade in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Some are worth upgrading, while others aren't. Upgrades are worthwhile for armor sets that provide high defense and set bonuses. However, most upgrades to weapons do not improve the quality of the item's stats when in comparison to their purple counterparts. This makes them less attractive to upgrade if you have a lot of armor pieces or weapons.
Set items can be upgraded to include unique functions that are beneficial for specific builds. This is evident in Aldur's Advance Boots and Guillaume's Face. Both were upgraded to Exceptional Winged Helms and Exceptional Mirrored Boots, respectively. This increased their defense from 217 to 321. (Strength requirements and Level requirements also increased).
Upgrades can also be done to bring certain items up to par with the different tiers. The Immortal King Set, for instance, is a huge range of levels, from 29 to 75. The upgrade of lower-level items in the set can boost their defense and make them more competitive in terms of damage.
To determine if an item is worth upgrading, players should click the Upgrade button on the screen of their character. This will display the item's features, as well as the items needed to upgrade it. For instance the No-mouth face will require 1.1K Scrap Materials and 250 Enchanted Dust and 5 Glowing Shards to upgrade. Players can also look up the upgrade requirements for specific items at the Cyrodiil Golden vendor or Leaderboard.
In general, weapons and armor have a higher trade value when they are updated. Especially for weapons that have spell/weapon damage glyphs upgrading them to gold is recommended because it will provide a significant improvement in their stats. The armor that has a new appearance will benefit from this upgrade, since its defense value will increase as it goes from purple to gold.
