How to Upgrade Items in Pokemon GO

The Upgrade is one the most important features in Pokemon GO. It allows trainers the chance to evolve Porygon2 into Porygon and progress in their Pokedex.

Although this item is rare, players can find it by spinning the photo disc at a Pokestop, or as a reward for special events. What does this item do?

Components

Upgrade components are objects that can be put into trinkets, weapons or gathering tools in order to give an attribute bonus or extra effect while the item is being used. They are an essential component for crafting. They can be obtained through salvaging or purchased from vendors. They can also be found as drops in the game, dropped by enemies or gathered from spheres of items. They can be used to upgrade weapons or armor through an upgrade slot.

To achieve the highest level of progress in the game, it is essential to use upgrade components to maximize experience gained by upgrading gear and weapons. The multiplier of experience for an upgraded item is increased when it is combined with organic components, whereas mechanical components decrease it. The best combination is a high experience-multiplier organic component followed by a low-experience-multiplier mechanical component. This will maximize your experience gain and enable you to move up the levels of weapon or equipment more accessible.

It's essential to know how the upgrade system works to maximize the benefits of your upgrades. The system operates by keeping an ongoing total of experience for the component you're upgrading. Each component has an experience multiplier that could be negative or positive. When the total is at an amount that is certain then it's reset to zero.

The amount of the experience gained by every upgrade component can be influenced by the item's hidden rank and its experience multiplier. The items with higher ranks will be more difficult to upgrade whereas lower-ranked items are simpler to obtain.

If a new version of the hardware is installed, it's essential to carefully remove all connections and fasteners that hold the old component in place. Save them for later use in a parts tray for easy identification and secure storage. Reconnect all wires and cables and connect the power supply. Test the computer by turning it on. If everything is connected properly the computer will boot up normally. This is a vital step to ensure the new hardware will be compatible with your current system.

Glyphs

Glyphs are a great method to make your equipment better, but you need to be able to utilize them properly. Each glyph has a variety of values that it can enhance the substatus by and higher-ranking Glyphs have more powerful values. Choose wisely as you can only upgrade Glyphs once. Glyphs are also one-time-use and disappear after you use them on an item or artifact.

The most effective glyphs are those that increase the likelihood of affixing an affix to the desired tier. They are typically found on the most expensive armor, weapons and other accessories. They can also be found on the Paragon Board and are usually worth the effort, however they can be difficult to find.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Chests or purchase them from the Trading Post. Some glyphs are one-time use, while others are permanent. The latter are great for items that have to be re-rolled often. The Glyph of Hope, for example, allows you to increase the probability of acquiring a certain affix when enchanting items.

Some glyphs are also used to modify existing affixes. This is often seen on boots and gloves. Each can be home to four different affixes. The Glyph of Insight, for example, transforms the prefix to an experimental affix. This is a great tool if you are looking for an excellent affix for the specific slot or wish to maximize the damage output.

Once you reach level 50, the shape of the game changes dramatically. Instead of relying on the campaign, you'll have to navigate the complicated Paragon Board, Nightmare Dungeons, and new grinds to ensure that your game is as efficient as it can be.

The best glyphs are the ones that are compatible with your character's type, such as the Exploit Glyph, which boosts the damage dealt to weak enemies. Control Glyph is another good glyph that boosts damage against enemies who are stunned, frozen, or slow. Each glyph has a radius, and the radius grows as you upgrade the glyph. This makes glyphs an excellent way to upgrade your gear later in the game.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens are upgrade items which allow players to alter an attribute on an item. It is possible to do this within the item window, by selecting an item and clicking an orange button with circular arrows. The cost of a reroll is determined by the rarity of the item.

Reroll tokens are available in the Mystery Box or as rare drops from skulled monsters. They can be purchased from the Trader. You can also obtain them through Event Items or by receiving them from other players. They can be used to reroll weapons armors, and rings in increments of two. Each token that is rerolling gives players the chance to roll an attribute that can be higher or lower than the previous roll.

In addition to being able to upgrade rerolls Reroll tokens can also be used to recycle items. Recycling an item can earn players a certain amount points that will add to the gauge of level for the item, depending on its popularity. This is a great way to dispose of old equipment that hasn't been upgraded.

The reroll token can be used to give new weapon characteristics. They are then shown to the player, who is able to choose whether or not. The player can offer up to six items at once, and the options increase when the item's rarity and level increases. This option is available via the Upgrade tab of the forge.

A reroll token can also be used to roll the set bonus of an item. This is triggered when three or more items from the same set are equipped on an item. The set bonus applies only to units that are part of the same class, and cannot be applied to units belonging to different classes.

There are a variety of other upgrades in the game that can be rerolled like the recipe items. They are not available through the shop or reroll, but are instead transferred to the Non-droppable Pool when players select a Food Card that requires new ingredients or equipment. The reroll token can be used to reroll these additional bonuses, but the base stats (including all upgrades) and level remain the same.

Leveling

In the game, you are able to upgrade your equipment with upgrades to your items. They can be created by obtaining the required ingredients from the item upgrader NPCs found in major cities. After an item is upgraded, its base stats will be increased. Additionally, certain affixes can be changed. This could result in an increase of a significant amount in an item's level.

If an item is upgraded it will show a blue icon in its upper-left corner. The item will also show a number of upgrades below its maximum level. A greater number of upgrades will increase the item's max level. The player can upgrade an item in as many times as they like. This allows them to hit gear breakpoints, which increase the chances of rerolling certain affixes.

The feature of upgrading items allows players to upgrade the level and quality of helmets, weapons, and armor. This process costs items which are then exchanged by the  item upgrader  NPC to earn currency. The upgrader will show an image of the item at its new level and will accept either Happy Stars or Happy Tickets to complete the upgrade. The item used for materials will be gone. However, the upgraded item will keep Item EXP to upgrade it further.

There is no way to guarantee that an Upgrade will appear however it has the lowest chance of appearing during spinning Pokestops or Gyms. Players can use an Upgrade to evolve the Porygon into the form of a Porygon2 which will eat the item.

The Upgrade is a new feature that was introduced in Generation II. Silph Co. produces a transparent device that can hold all kinds of information. It can be used to evolve specific Pokemon species and is activated by trading a Link Cable. It is a rare item with a 1% chance of dropping per spin from Pokestops and Gyms. It is also available by finishing the Upgrade Station event.
